Among the affected people was a self-styled prophet who preferred anonymity as he declared the prayer meeting would be disturbed by his spiritual powers. He was reported to have argued with the workers who cleaned the place and unconfirmed reports were that there are some secret graves by his shrine he feared would be unearthed.
Magaya promised to compensate those who had their plants on the stream banks.
“PHD is going to look into that and help those affected to by clearing of our place as we prepared for the Night of Turnaround,” said Magaya.
“We expected a million people so our place was not enough to accommodate all that and we decided to extend across the Mukuvisi river.
“From the chairs we have and those we hired I want to beleive ore than 500000 people attended the prayer meeting.
“I am happy that the prayer meeting was a success and no incident was reported.I believe God has shown love to his people,” said Mayaya.
People started to arrive on Thursday and PHD had already sought help from the police to beef up security and normal movement of traffic ahead of the prayer day.
